Tom Beckett.................................. Mr. Foley
Tom Beckett is one of the nicest men ever. I wrote him an email and he answered me back
the very next day. The character he plays, Mr. Foley, is a sound effects man that
makes no sounds. Rupert Holmes, each week, comes up with new ways of stopping Mr.
Foley from saying a word. Mr. Foley has one of the greatest acting parts. It
is more difficult to try to tell something with body language rather than just saying
it. Three cheers for Mr. Beckett!! Hip, Hip, Hurray! Hip, Hip, Hurray! Hip,
Hip, Hurray!
CJ Byrnes...................................... CJ McHugh
CJ Byrnes is Married to Cathy D'Arcy. I think it is very neat how they got
married. They got married while preforming a play. CJ Byrnes plays the
character of CJ McHugh on Wenn. CJ is the person in the control booth who keeps the
station litterally running. He is not always noticed. One episode, CJ
scared the whole cast, especially Hilary, by saying you don't see me, but I am always
here. CJ will not be here in the fourth season he is oh "Hiatus." I
think they should bring him BACK!!
Carolee Carmello......................... Mable LaMarsh
Carolee Carmello is a good actress. She plays the character Mable LaMarsh.
Mable La Marsh is a actress with many talents. She can play the organ which she did
when Euginia went to do the late shift (Mary Stout went to play in Jane Eyre). She
was also in numerous BurlyQue shows. Mable's talents have save Wenn on more than
once.
George Hall................................... Tom Eldridge
George Hall plays the kindly, absent-minded janitor and the owner of Wenn. No one
at the station knows that Mr Eldridge is the owner of the station. After Mr.
Eldridge won a swiss sweepstakes he bought the station to save it from being closed
forever.
Margaret Hall................................. Gertude Reece
Margaret Hall plays the character Gertie, the friendly and sarcastic telephone operater.
Gertie always adds her two cents. She also enjoys writing as a hobby. She wrote a radio
play that was simular to the plot of Casablanca and she also wrote a television play.
John Bedford Lloyd........................Victor Comstock
First of all, Victor and Betty sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love then
comes marriage then comes baby in the baby carriage. Does that give you any ideas Rupert
Holmes. Victor in the beginning seasons was the controlling manager of Wenn. Then as he
was called off to war by our government. He was to broadcast at the BBC in London. In the
second season, we found out that Victor had died from a bombing in London. In the cliff
hanger of that season Victor was brought back to life. He had been a double double agent,
working as John Arnold, a texan big mouth against the US forces. Victor would then come
back to kill Pruit the yucky man that had taken over the station. Victor then lost his
memory and became normal again.
Melinda Mullins ............................. Hilary Booth
Melinda Mullins is a really nice person and nothing like Hilary. Her character must
be so fun. She gets to step out of herself and release some
"let-me-be-selfish" air out. Hilary is married to another actor on the
Wenn list. She was married to Jeffery Singer played by Hugh O'Gorman. Hilary
is the Broadway star that has fallen far off Broadway. She is one of the main
characters of Wenn and Melinda Mullins plays her so devinely. You may now catch
Melinda Mullins in a Motrin IB commercial. Side note: Melinda Mullins is a wonderful
painter. Click on Melinda Mullins to go the her hompage where you may see her
wonderful artwork. The bridge painting is my favorite.
Christopher Murney....................... Mackey Bloom
Christopher Murney plays the character of Mackey Bloom. In the fourth season, Mackey
will only be in two episodes. What a shame!! Mackey Bloom is the man of a
thousand voices at the station from the Old Doctor Talbot to announcers to silly clowns.
Mackey is a nice, friendly, funny little man. Mackey this season is on tour
with a company doing what he has always wanted to do, a true dramatic role.
Amanda Naughton......................... Betty Roberts
Betty is my favorite character. Amanda Naughton plays Betty Roberts, a young writer
from Elkheart, Indiana. Betty first came to Wenn by winning a writers contest.
By winning this contest Betty became the Station's secretary, public relations
person, writer, station manager, problem solver, friendly shoulder to cry on and all
around girl next store. She is stuck in a love triangle with Scott and Victor and in
one episode Jeff!!! Boy, that ruffled Scott's and Hilary's feathers.
Hugh O'Gorman.............................. Jeffery Singer
Hugh O'Gorman, a real nice guy, plays Jeff Singer Hilary Booth's 1st and 2nd ex husband.
In the third season, Jeff was off at war with Victor. Jeff played many of the
dramatic and mannly roles such as Young Dr. Talbot and Sam Dayne, private eye. Jeff
in the beggining of the third season came back from the war scared emotionally and
physically. Then in the beginning of the fourth season, we find that Jeff is really
Victor Comstock, a double double agent, contact if ever something happens to Victor.
Kevin O'Rourke............................... Scott Sherwood
Kevin O'Rourke plays Scott Sherwood. Sherwood is a slick, lying, no good goon.
Scott lied his way into the arms of of Wenn with a phony letter of recommendation
from Victor. When Mr. Pruit (worker of Globe enterprises= Gloria & Ben, owners
of Wenn before the fourth season) took over the station. Then Scott was out of a
job. The station was looking for a new actor to replace Jeff, who went off to war.
Scott auditioned and ended up the best actor of the lot.
Mary Stout....................................... Eugenia Bremer
Mary Stout plays the part of Eugenia Bremer. Euginia is the organist at Wenn.
Euginia in the beginning of the third season was a late night organist for a show
sponsered by a coffee manufacturer. This was done so that Mary Stout would be
allowed to play in Jane Eyre. Then later in that season, Euginia return her bright
and cheerful self, allowing Mable to become one of the Wenn actors and actresses.
Dina Shybey...................................Cecilia Mellon
Dina played Cecilia Mellon in the first two season of Wenn. She was a small town
girl hoping to become a star. She took on the name of Mellon so she could say she
was one of the rich Mellons. Dina, like Cecilia, left Wenn with Hollywood in mind.
After Wenn Dina was a leading role in the television show Men Behaving Badly.
Disclaimer: Wenn is not my idea it is that of Rupert Holmes. Any reference to Wenn or
