The Star of the week of August 14, 1998 is (Drumroll please) ::small drum roll:: Katherine Hepburn. Katherine Hepburn's love of her life was Spencer Tracy. They made comedies togethers such as Desk Set. Katherine Hepburn also starred in movies such as Bringing Up Baby with Carry Grant.
Even as a little child Katherine was on behalf of womens' rights and
having all men and women perceived as created equal. As a baby girl with her
parents, Katherine handed out flyers and held signs. She reflected her wish to be
equal to boys by taking on the name "Jimmy," dressing like boys, and becoming a
Tom-boy.
The Star of the week August 7, 1998!! Danny Kaye. If you are not aquinted with this star you might have seen him in such films as: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Hans Christian Anderson, The Five Little Pennies, the classic White Christmas, and oh so many more.
Danny Kaye was a wonderful man. He did wonderful things for UNICEF which is an orginization that helps kids in rural areas in other countries. Danny Kaye was a comical Genius. He was handsome enough to be the straight man, but he wanted to make us laugh. Danny Kaye was a good human being. You can't say that about every star that comes out of Hollywood. If you have never seen a Danny Kaye movie see the Secret Life of Walter Mitty and then you will see the man that so many have come to love.
