You are listening to the theme song from Love Story.
Hello, Darrrrlings. I always wanted to say that. My name is Elizabeth Katie Gene Marshall.
You might know me from such films as Blue Goddess and a few lesser known films Road to
Colleen's House, Portrait in Repaints, Tarzan in The Orchid House, and let's not forget 20
Inches Under the Bed. A few of my favorites are Breakfast at FAO, Girls and Their Dolls,
and My Fair Dolly. Well, Colleen said that I could keep this my own page if I was good and
kept it updated. Sometimes I won't be able to update so Colleen will do it for me (oh, do
I have to?).
Let me tell you about myself. I am blonde with aqua blue eyes (so I am told). I am officially a Blue Goddess in the Ashton-Drake world. I have this yucky looking tatoo on my back; it reads D-1612. It's written on my pretty blue chiffon gown. (If ever I loose her in a doll shop or someplace, please check the number and return her to me. She is my only one and I love her so.) I stand a towering 15 1/2 inches, one eighth of and inch more if I were shoes. I live in the Golden Age which is the 30's and 40's. Isn't amazing how I can stay eighteen from 1941 all the way up to the 50's! Well, I've got my own fountain of youth stored away in that AD box. (Ashton Drake, EK, write things out or people won't know what your talking about). Oh, all right. All right.
So continuing on. Here is the official story I have. ::Cough, opens AD story card and reads out loud:: "Gene in a plave called Hollywood, in an era call the Golden Age, a beautiful, small-town girl finds stardom....Gene in "Blue Goddess" (Sorry to interrupt, but really it is Elizabeth Katie Gene Marshall in "Blue Goddess")
Her name was actually Katie Marshall. It was only after she was discovered by a famous Hollywood Producer that she adopted her beloved grandfather's name, Gene - Because he had always urged her to follow her dream to Hollywood stardom.
The movies were Gene's passion, even as a young girl. Inspired by the world's great movie actresses, she developed he acting skills by winning the leads in every school play. She quickly won the hearts and admiration of everyone who saw these early performances...for even then, Gene was surely touched with stardom. Gene was a typical, gawky young women...but the movies taght her grace and passion and made her heart sing with their glamour and drama!
Because Gene was single-minded about persuing her dream, she manages to find her way to New York City. She became an usherette an a fashionable movie theatre frequented by celebrities.
On a night that changed her life forever, Gene led a tall distinguished man to his seat in the darkened theatre. Her flashlight fleetingly revealed her lovely face to him. Ashtonished at her beauty and poise, this noted producer declared her his latest discovery, took her to Hollywood, and helped make Gene the star she always deserves to be.
Your film career has established you so as a star that public and critics
alike eagerly await each new film. Now you welcome the change to star in a different kind
of film, a thrilling mystery with an international setting. And you also love the
opportunity to wear a particularly exquisite gown that is created for you in this new
exciting role!
Oh look everyone it's me!! (Hi all. I unable to use the camera got a bright idea today. I stuck Elizabeth K into the scanner and just scanned her in. She is wearing the first dress I ever made for her. I think it's alright. It also has a matching scarf, gloves and soon to be purse. They just aren't in the picture. Sorry it's tilted. I couldn't get her straightened out just quite right.)
